The Bishop Alonzo Terry Scholarship

We offer two scholarship opportunities. The BTB Ministry is committed to fostering spiritual growth and leadership development within the United Pentecostal Church International (UPCI). We believe in investing in the future of the ministry by supporting aspiring preachers, teachers, and music ministers who are called to serve God's kingdom.
Scholarship Overview:
We are pleased to offer three annual scholarships to help make attending any UPCI Bible College more accessible. These scholarships will be awarded based on responses to an essay question focused on the BTB Ministry's mission and vision.
1st Place: $
2nd Place: $
Eligibility:
Applicants must be budding preachers, teachers, or music ministers of any ethnicity or background.
Applicants must have expressed a clear interest in attending any UPCI Bible College.
Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to the UPCI's fundamental doctrines and practices.
Application Process:
Complete the online application form.
Submit a 500-750 word essay responding to the following question:
"How do you envision utilizing your ministry gifts to further the BTB Ministry's mission of reaching the lost, making disciples, and equipping believers for service?"
Provide two letters of recommendation from individuals who can attest to your character, spiritual maturity, and ministry potential.
Selection Criteria:
The scholarship committee will evaluate essays based on the following:
Clarity of thought and expression
Understanding of the BTB Ministry's mission and vision
Alignment of personal ministry goals with the BTB Ministry's focus
Demonstration of passion for ministry and a heart for service
Creativity and originality of ideas
Deadline:
All application materials must be submitted by March 1, 2025.
Scholarship recipients will be notified by email.
Additional Information:
Scholarship funds will be disbursed directly to the recipient's UPCI Bible College.
Recipients will be invited to share their ministry journey and vision at a BTB Ministry event.
