About Us

Our Journey

Vision: Building the Bridge Ministries, as the evangelistic arm of the UPCI, envisions a church
that empowers all pastors with training, tools, and support needed to lead thriving
congregations. Serving as an advisor to UPCI leadership, BTB is committed to promoting outreach and evangelism within African American/Black communities across the U.S. and Canada, facilitating connections and encouraging active participation in UPCI programs and activities.

Mission: Building the Bridge Ministries mission is to empower UPCI leaders with resources, local
and national training, outreach partnerships, and guidance on matters vital to the
African American/Black communities within the U.S. and Canada.

How We Help

Evangelism: We share the Gospel message with the Black community in North America.

Inclusion: We advocate for including Black people in all aspects of the UPCI.

Education: We equip UPCI leaders with resources and guidance to better understand and serve the Black community.

We strive to be a voice of unity and understanding within our church community. Our world still echoes past injustices, and we must address those hurts while actively cultivating a future where race is no obstacle to fellowship and growth within the body of Christ.
We also recognize the unique challenges faced by many in the African American/Black communities. Our ministry offers practical aid and compassionate support, guided by our belief that Christ can heal, restore, and transform lives. In His footsteps, we seek to meet people where they are, offering hope and a pathway to a better tomorrow.

Today’s Purpose

Our Hope For the Future

We dream of a day when bridges are so strong that our specific ministry becomes joyfully unnecessary – when divisions have faded, and all of God's people walk hand-in-hand. Until then, we will work tirelessly.
We'll build relationships, foster understanding, and equip our leaders to reach out to those who most need Christ's love.
